Freshman Season (2024): Gilbert was the Saints primary catcher throughout the 2024 season as a freshman and not only recorded putouts at the plate on defense, but some big swings on the offensive side to help Seward County to the second straight 30+ win season. In his first year at the college level, Gilbert recorded 34 hits, 27 runs, 11 doubles, 4 home runs, and 20 RBIs while also recording an OBP of .361. His best game of the season helped lead the Saints to a win over Butler with a 3/5 performance at the plate with 1 run, 1 double, 1 home run, and 3 RBIs.

High School: During Mason Ryan Gilbert’s high school career, he played the positions of catcher, leftfield, rightfield, first, second and third base at Randall High School under Coach Cory Hamilton. During his high school career, he was awarded Academic All-State and during his senior year he was awarded Offensive player of the year. Gilbert’s team was also honored as state semi-finalists. His senior year statistics consist of AVG .363, 41 Hits, 12 2B, 2 3B, 5 HR, 49 RBI.

Personal: Gilbert was born in Amarillo, Texas on April 4^th of 2005. He is the son of Jamie and Ryan Gilbert. He is a 215lb 6-foot catcher and utility player who is right-handed on the field and in the box. Gilbert has earned a total of 2 baseball letters. During his time here he will be majoring in Biology.
