After five years as the leader of Seward County athletics, Dan Artamenko has stepped down as the Athletic Director for the Saints as he moves on to the next part of his career at the NCAA DIII level with Lakeland University as their new Athletic Director.
Seward County Athletics Recognizes Spring Honor Roll

The Seward County Community College Athletic Department is proud to announce the Spring 2024 Athletic Director Honor Roll. Qualifying standards are met by maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher in non-remedial courses and complete 12 or more credit hours for the semester.
Seward County Cheerleading to host Open Gym Tuesday, June 13th

LIBERAL, Kan. – On Tuesday, June 13 from 7-9 PM new Head Cheer Coach Larissa Lujan will host her first open gym for prospective student-athletes as she looks to grow the program. The event is open to all incoming SCCC freshman and sophomores and will be held in the dance studio below the gymnasium, a.k.a “The Greenhouse”

LIBERAL, Kan. - Seward County Community College has announced that is has hired Larissa Lujan as the Head Cheer Coach for the Seward County Saints Cheerleading program. Lujan, who has been the head cheer coach at Liberal High School for the last two years, will join the Saints immediately.
Anahi Navarrete signs with Kansas Wesleyan cheer team

LIBERAL, Kan. - Seward County Community College cheer program is excited to announce sophomore Anahi Navarrete has signed with Kansas Wesleyan University to continue her academic and cheer career. Navarrete has been a member of the Saints cheer program for the last three years and the team captain for the past two seasons.

Seward cheer team set for a historical weekend at the Regional Cheer and Dance competition

LIBERAL, Kan.- Seward County Community College cheer program will be competing at the Region VI Cheer and Dance competition, held at Barton Community College on Sunday. This will be the second time that Seward County has competed at the Regional competition and first time competing in the all-girl competition.
Spring Semester Ends with Academic Awards

Colbert Signs with William Penn

Seward County cheerleader Adriana Colbert signed with William Penn on Tuesday in the All-American Room to continue her cheerleading career with the Statesmen. She becomes the first cheerleader to sign on to a four-year school under new Head Coach Chad Butler.

Seward County Adds Three Coaches to Staff

The Seward County Athletic Department has announced the hiring of three coaches to the coaching staff. Lachmond Bratton will be joining the tennis program as Assistant Coach, Chad Butler will be leading the SCCC Spirit Squad as Head Coach, and Parker Thompson will become the new assistant coach for volleyball.
Owen Resigns as Head Cheerleading Coach

Head Cheerleading Coach Carissa Owen has announced her resignation. She will be relocating after her husband and Head Seward Tennis Coach, Greg Owen, accepted the head coaching job at Southern Arkansas University.
Cain and King join Saints as volunteer coaches

The Seward athletic department announced Thursday, the addition of two volunteer coaches to their coaching staffs. Austin King will be assisting with the baseball team, while Tate Cain will be helping the cheerleading squad.
Seward County Athletics to host Hurricane Harvey relief efforts

With the recent developments in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas, the Seward County Athletic department will be hosting multiple hurricane relief events. The devastation has struck many current and former Saints and Lady Saints, therefore all monetary, non-perishable food, or other donations will be sent directly to former Seward students and their families. With help from the SCCC Booster Club, there will be an account set up for all funds to be collected and distributed.
