GARDEN CITY, Kan. – The Seward County men's soccer team earned its first points of the 2025 conference season with a 1-1 draw at Garden City on Saturday afternoon at Broncbuster Stadium.
The Saints moved their conference record to 0-9-1 on the season while Garden City is 3-4-2. Seward will play the second half of a suspended game vs. Coffeyville at Redskin Field on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m.
Neither team netted a first half goal as Garden City outshot the Saints 11-3 in the first period.
The Broncbusters scored the game's first goal in the 54th minute as Guilherme Guilherme put a ball in unassisted. Seward responded in the 71st minute as Joao Reis scored off an assist from Simone Pitale.
Garden City outshot Seward 19-4 for the game. Seward goalkeeper Miguel Kwiatkowski finished with 10 saves.
