Carlo Walton enters his second season as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach and third overall after spending one season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2016-17.

In his first season as Assistant Coach, he helped lead the Lady Saints to a second straight Jayhawk West Conference Championship amidst a 31-4 season.  The Lady Saints also won their first Region VI Championship since 2007 in 2018.  Walton was instrumental in helping 1st Team All-American Mollie Mounsey improve her inside game after being known as one of the deadliest perimeter shooters in the country. The Lady Saints produced two All-Conference and All-Region players (Mounsey and Silvia Veloso), while Mounsey was named to a second straight NJCAA First Team All-American selection.

Walton is a member of the Saints Athletics Hall of Fame after an unbelievable two year career with the Saints in the mid-90's.  Over 20 years after leaving Liberal the first time, Walton remains third on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,422 career points, the all-time leader in three point makes with 159, as well as the all-time leader in both career assists with 436 and steals with 224.  

Upon completion of his playing career at Seward County, Walton transferred to Iowa State where he played one season before finishing his playing career at Washburn University.
