Dan Artamenko Steps Down as Athletic Director

After five years as the leader of Seward County athletics, Dan Artamenko has stepped down as the Athletic Director for the Saints as he moves on to the next part of his career at the NCAA DIII level with Lakeland University as their new Athletic Director.

The Seward County Community College Athletic Department is proud to announce the Spring 2024 Athletic Director Honor Roll. Qualifying standards are met by maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher in non-remedial courses and complete 12 or more credit hours for the semester.

For a second straight semester, the Seward County student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of over 3.20 as 78 Saints and Lady Saints were named to the Spring Athletic Director Honor Roll.

RECENT NEWS

The Seward County Athletic Department has announced the hiring of three coaches to the coaching staff.  Lachmond Bratton will be joining the tennis program as Assistant Coach, Chad Butler will be leading the SCCC Spirit Squad as Head Coach, and Parker Thompson will become the new assistant coach for volleyball.
Head Cheerleading Coach Carissa Owen has announced her resignation.  She will be relocating after her husband and Head Seward Tennis Coach, Greg Owen, accepted the head coaching job at Southern Arkansas University.
The Seward athletic department announced Thursday, the addition of two volunteer coaches to their coaching staffs. Austin King will be assisting with the baseball team, while Tate Cain will be helping the cheerleading squad.
With the recent developments in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas, the Seward County Athletic department will be hosting multiple hurricane relief events. The devastation has struck many current and former Saints and Lady Saints, therefore all monetary, non-perishable food, or other donations will be sent directly to former Seward students and their families. With help from the SCCC Booster Club, there will be an account set up for all funds to be collected and distributed.
