Women’s Tennis Places 10th at NJCAA Championship
SUMTER, S.C. – The Seward County women's tennis team wrapped up its 2026 season at the NJCAA Division 1 Women's Tennis Championship at the Palmetto Tennis Center.
The Saints sent two student-athletes to the event, freshman Mishel Lobotenko and sophomore Rosaline Akombo-Lum.
Lobotenko lost her first match in flight one singles play, but rallied for two wins in the consolation bracket including an 8-6 win over Weatherford's Maria Camila Ternera to win the consolation bracket.
Akombo-Lum won her round of 16 singles match at flight two before falling in the quarterfinal.
The two teamed up in flight one doubles and won the consolation final over USC-Sumter.
