Luiz Joins Women’s Soccer Staff

LIBERAL, Kan. – Seward County Community College women's soccer head coach Marcela Bueno has announced the hiring of Nathalia Luiz as assistant coach.

Luiz, a native of Porto Alegre, Brazil, joins the Saints after Bueno led the program through the 2025 season without an assistant coach.

Luiz comes to Seward after playing two seasons at Missouri Southern State University, where she was a starter for the Lions. She was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll in 2025 and led the team in goals and assists during the 2024 season.

Before Missouri Southern, Luiz spent two seasons at KJCCC foe Coffeyville Community College. During the 2022 season, she helped Coffeyville finish 14-4-2, the program's best overall record in 10 years.

Luiz also competed for Internacional FC in Brazil from ages 15-18, winning two regional championships, before playing for Grêmio FBPA 7v7 from ages 18-20.

She began her coaching career with Orlando City FC in Brazil, where she worked with youth teams.

Luiz earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Missouri Southern State University in 2025.
