43 Seward County Student Athletes Earn NJCAA All¬-Academic Honors

Following the 2023-24 Academic calendar year, Seward County had 43 student-athletes recognized in the NJCAA with All-Academic honors after putting in the hard work in the classroom to keep their grades up to at least a 3.60 throughout the entire academic year.
Dan Artamenko Steps Down as Athletic Director

After five years as the leader of Seward County athletics, Dan Artamenko has stepped down as the Athletic Director for the Saints as he moves on to the next part of his career at the NCAA DIII level with Lakeland University as their new Athletic Director.
Seward County Athletics Recognizes Spring Honor Roll

The Seward County Community College Athletic Department is proud to announce the Spring 2024 Athletic Director Honor Roll. Qualifying standards are met by maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher in non-remedial courses and complete 12 or more credit hours for the semester.

After having to delay their final semifinals match twenty-four hours, the duo of Samuel Antwi and Cem Atlamis took on the doubles pairing from Cowley in a rematch from the regular season but could not get their payback as they fell to place Seward County fifth in the NJCAA National Tournament.

Seward County Men’s Tennis has made the trip down to Texas for the NJCAA National Tournament and day one could not have gone better as every member of the Saints team advanced to the second round in both singles and doubles competition for an 8-0 start to tie them for third place with 16 points after round one.
Seward County Disappointed at Home with Loss to Cowley

Seward County competed in their biggest matchup of the 2024 season against the reigning NJCAA National Champions in the Cowley Tigers where both the Saints and Lady Saints of SCCC were upended by the reigning champs who swept the women’s team 9-0 and knocked off the men’s team 7-2.
Lady Saints Tennis Continue Success in Great Bend

Seward County tennis has had incredible success throughout the 2024 season and the Lady Saints tennis squad continued to show why they are one of the best teams in the NJCAA as they routed Barton on the road 6-3 to remain undefeated in conference action. The Saints men’s team however could not capitalize on a hot start after starting 3-0 after doubles play, falling 5-4 overall with the Cougars winning nearly every singles matchup.
Tennis Begins Conference Action with Wins Over Pratt

Seward County tennis made their way to Pratt on Thursday to start their Jayhawk conference schedule with a pair of matchups with the Beavers where both the Saints and Lady Saints came out with wins as the men’s team came out on top with a 5-4 win thanks to a clutch victory from Sebastian De Las Salas Vasquez while the women’s team swept Pratt 9-0.
