Moura Filho Named KJCCC Player of the Week

Liberal, Kansas – For the second straight week a Seward County player has earned KJCCC Player of the Week honors with this week's addition being freshman midfielder Fernando Moura Filho after recording his first goal of the season against Metropolitan this past weekend.

Filho stepped up in a big 4-0 win for the Saints as the freshman midfielder found a path to score against Metropolitan CC while also connecting with his teammate for an assist on the final goal of the game to help the Saints split their action last week with two games in the Kansas City metro area. This marks the first time in his Seward County career that Filho has earned this award and the second straight week a Saint has been given the honor with Matheus Ambrozio earning it last week.

Seward County will be back in action this weekend with home field advantage as they play on Redskin Field against #4 Cowley to take care of some unfinished business after tying with the Tigers earlier this season.
