  • Mortensen Signs With Detroit Mercy

    A second Lady Saint softball player signed on with a Division I school as Leena Mortensen signed with the University of Detroit Mercy on Monday. Mortensen joins Jullian Atteberry as the two Lady Saints who will continue their career in the Division I level.
  • Lady Saints Battery Signs With Four Year Schools

    The Seward County battery responsible for the most wins in Lady Saints history are now going their separate ways after signing with four year schools.  Pitcher Monique Ashley has signed with NAIA Bellevue University, while catcher Sage Harrison has signed with Division II Francis marion University. 
  • 34 Student-Athletes Receive NJCAA Academic Student Athlete Awards

    For the sixth consecutive year, the Seward County athletic department has seen an increase in the number of student-athletes receiving the NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Award, as 34 Saints and Lady Saints qualified for the 2017-18 school year, topping last years record of 28.

    Seward County softball standout Jullian Atteberry has signed with Division I University of South Carolina Upstate to continue her softball career.
  • Spring Semester Ends with Academic Awards

    For a second straight semester, the Seward County student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of over 3.20 as 78 Saints and Lady Saints were named to the Spring Athletic Director Honor Roll.
  • Record 10 Lady Saints Named All-Conference

    After wrapping up a record breaking 22-win conference season on Sunday, the Seward County softball team continued to break records as the Jayhawk West All-Conference teams were announce with a record 10 Lady Saints being selected to the All-Jayhawk West Team.
  • Lady Saints Fall To Grizzlies In Region VI Championship

    The 2018 Seward County softball season ended on Sunday, as the Lady Saints began and ended the day with losses to Butler in the Region VI Tournament.  After losing to Butler 9-1 in the semifinals, Seward took down Colby 4-3 for a rematch against the Grizzlies in the Championship Game but lost 18-0. It marks back-to-back Region VI Championship game appearances for the Lady Saints.
  • Lady Saints Shut Out Colby To Advance In Region VI Tournament

    A day after narrowly escaping a first round upset, the Seward County softball team shutout the Colby Trojans in the second round of the Region VI Tournament 5-0 to advance to the first semi-final game for the second straight year.

    The Seward County softball team took all they could handle from the Dodge City Conquistadors, needing a late inning surge to prevent a Dodge City comeback, beating the Conqs 6-4 in the first round of the Region VI Tournament.
  • Lady Saints Split with Trojans to End Regular Season

    The Seward County softball team (35-19, 22-6) finished their regular season on Monday, splitting with the Colby Trojans in a double header.  Colby took game one 2-0 before the Lady Saints won in comeback fashion in game two, 8-7.
  • Lady Saints Fall Short of Upset in El Dorado

    It was a tough day at the ball park for the Seward County softball team (34-18, 21-15) getting swept by the Butler Grizzlies.  The Lady Saints were no hit in game one 9-0 before losing on a walk off in game two 4-3.
  • Harrison Ties Single Season Home Run Mark In Sweep of Barton
    April 18, 2018
    Chalk up two more wins for the Seward County softball team (34-16, 21-3), defeating conference foe Barton in a doubleheader 6-3 in game one before dropping the Cougars 17-6 in game two.  On sophomore night, Oregon slugger Sage Harrison tied the single season home run record, blasting two pitches over the wall in game two, now sitting at 19 on the season. She is now just three shy of the career home run record of 35.
  • Lady Saints Combine for 24 Hits To Sweep Mavericks

    The Seward County softball team (32-16, 19-3) picked up two more conference wins to add on to their single-season conference wins record, sweeping Northwest Tech at Lady Saints Field 10-2 in game one winning from the run-rule before holding on for a 7-4 victory in game two.
  • Bats Go Silent As Lady Saints Split with Broncbusters

    It was a tough day at the plate for the Seward County softball team (30-16, 17-3 KJCCC) splitting with the Garden City Broncbusters.  The Lady Saints won game one 2-1 before getting run-ruled 11-0 in five innings in game two.
  • Milestones Continue To Fall As Lady Saints Sweep Conqs

    It was another historic day for the Seward County softball team (29-15, 16-2), sweeping the Dodge City Conquistadors at Lady Saint Field.  The 5-0 game one victory put Monique Ashley in sole possession of most all-time wins, while their 10-3 game two win gave the Lady Saints their most conference wins in program history.
  • Historic Days for Ashley and Harrison Push Lady Saints Past Beavers

    The Seward County softball team (27-15, 14-2) picked up two more Jayhawk Conference wins on Sunday, sweeping the Pratt Beavers as Monique Ashley tied the Seward County record for most career wins after picking up two more against the Beavers.  Ashley started in game one with the Lady Saints winning 15-4, while coming in for relief in game two as the Lady Saints rallied for a 14-6 victory.
  • Lady Saints Welcome Northwest Tech to KJCCC with Sweep

    The newest member of the Jayhawk Conference did not receive a warm welcome from the Seward County softball team (25-15, 12-2) as the Lady Saints swept the Northwest Tech Mavericks.  Seward shut out the Mavs 11-0 en route to a run rule victory before winning game two, 14-9.
  • Grizzlies Hand Lady Saints First Conference Loss of Season

    The Seward County softball team (23-15, 10-2) lost their first conference games of the season on Monday, falling to the No. 11 Butler Grizzlies 3-0 in game one before losing 11-5 in game two.
  • Ashley Named NJCAA Pitcher of the Week

    Seward County's sophomore ace pitcher Monique Ashley has been named the NJCAA Pitcher of the Week for her performances from March 19-25.  It marks the first time this year that a Seward County athlete has won the National Player of the Week Award.

    The Seward County softball team (23-13, 10-0) pushed their win streak to eight games on Sunday, defeating Barton 8-0 in game one, before holding off a Cougar rally in game two, winning 9-7.
  • Lady Saints Extend Win Streak To Six Games
    March 21, 2018
    The Seward County softball team (21-13, 8-0) increased their win streak to six game on Wednesday, sweeping Garden City in their double header.  The Lady Saints won game one 8-0 from the mercy-rule before winning 7-2 in game two.
  • Lady Saints Roast Artichokes

    The Seward County softball team (19-13) ended their Arizona spring break trip with two wins over the Fighting Artichokes of Scottsdale, winning the first game in a pitching duel, 3-1, before out-hitting Scottsdale in game two 19-11.

    The Seward County softball team (17-13) picked up two more wins on Wednesday, sweeping South Mountain in Phoenix.  The Lady Saints took game on 6-1 before mercy ruling South Mountain in game two 10-2 to win in five innings.

    The Seward County softball team (15-13) was swept from two mercy rules games on Tuesday, losing to Yavapai College 8-0 in game one before losing 14-1 in game two.

    The Seward County softball team (15-11) swept the Dawson Buccaneers.  The Lady Saints won game one 9-0 before taking game two 8-3.

    The Seward County softball team (11-11, 4-0) came away with two wins on Wednesday, both in the form of the mercy-rule, defeating the Pratt Beavers 19-0 in game one of their doubleheader before taking game two 10-2.  Both games lasted just five innings.

    On a windy day at Lady Saint Field, the Seward County softball team (9-11) split their home doubleheader against Clarendon, winning game won 10-5 before getting mercy ruled in game two 14-3.
  • Lady Saints Sweep Trojans to Start Jayhawk Play

    The Seward County softball team (8-10, 2-0 KJCCC) started off conference play with a sweep against the Colby Trojans (11-5, 0-2 KJCCC), winning 2-0 in game one before taking game two 6-1.
  • Lady Saints Split Second Series with Lopes
    February 25, 2018
    A week after splitting a doubleheader against Lamar, the Seward County softball team (6-10) split another doubleheader against the Lopes, winning the first game 5-2 before dropping the second 7-2.
