    In a matchup of a top offensive team against a top defensive team, Seward County’s defense proved to be too much for the Butler Grizzlies to handle. Seward County (12-7, 8-7) forced the Grizzlies into 17 turnovers in their 79-76 win over Butler.

    The Seward County men’s basketball team couldn’t overcome the stifling defense of No. 13 Hutchinson, falling to the Blue Dragons 83-60.  The Blue Dragons forced the Saints into 19 turnovers. The loss dropped Seward to 11-7 overall and 7-7 in the Jayhawk Conference.

    It was thrilling night in Panther Gymnasium as the Seward County Saints basketball team needed an extra five minutes to take home a win against the Neosho Panthers, 87-82.  The win marked the first overtime victory for the Saints in two years.

    The Seward County Saints basketball team used a career game by Isiah Small to run away with a victory on Wednesday over the Allen Red Devils, 77-48.  Small finished with a career-high 25 points and his third career double-double (25 pts/10 rebs).

    The Seward County Saints men’s basketball team (4-2, 0-2) dropped their second straight game Wednesday night and moved to 0-2 in Jayhawk conference play, losing 81-67 to the Butler Grizzlies inside the Greenhouse.  The loss was the result of a season high 28 turnovers.  Ke’Sean Davis led Seward with 13 points on 4 of 11 shooting.  Anthony Thomas, Isiah Small and Hegel Augustin all came one point shy of double-digits.

    It was a David versus Goliath setup in the Greenhouse Saturday night as the Seward Saints men’s basketball team took on the No. 1 Hutchinson Blue Dragons. From all angles, it seemed as though Hutchinson would run away with the game – defending national champions, number one team in the country, and a veteran squad of six sophomores. While the Blue Dragons won the game 76-69, the Saints showed that they were no slouch either.

  • Halftime Lead Powers Saints To Victory

    The Seward County Saints basketball team took home their third straight victory Tuesday night, defeating Sunrise Christian, 75-64, thanks to a 15-point halftime lead.  The Saints were led in scoring by freshman Devin Bethely, who had 20 points in the win.

The night will serve as the first time fans can meet the 2017 Saints and Lady Saints basketball teams, while enjoying contests, games, and even a live scrimmage.
  • Saints Basketball to hold Inaugural Tip-Off Dinner

    The Seward County men’s basketball team will hold their inaugural Saints Tip-Off Dinner at the Mid-America Air Museumt on Friday, November 10.  The event will feature a speech given by legendary Hall of Fame coach, Bob Knight.
  • Seward County Athletics to host Hurricane Harvey relief efforts
    September 01, 2017
    With the recent developments in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas, the Seward County Athletic department will be hosting multiple hurricane relief events. The devastation has struck many current and former Saints and Lady Saints, therefore all monetary, non-perishable food, or other donations will be sent directly to former Seward students and their families. With help from the SCCC Booster Club, there will be an account set up for all funds to be collected and distributed.
