LIBERAL, Kan. - The Seward County athletic department released it's semiannual Athletic Director Honor on Friday (Feb. 9), naming 86 athletes to the 2017 Spring list.
The Seward County Athletic Department once again had a great semester in the classroom this fall as 119 Saints and Lady Saints student-athletes passed an average of 15.52 hours with an overall GPA of 3.28. 86 student-athletes were named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll while 16 had a perfect 4.0 GPA. Along with that, 11 more members of athletic support groups made the list, including one with a 4.0 GPA. Six of the eight athletic teams achieved an average GPA of 3.00 or higher.
"I want to congratulate all of our student-athletes on another fantastic semester in the classroom," said Director of Athletics Roy Allen. "To have almost 75% of our student-athletes achieve a 3.0 or better GPA is remarkable. I would also like to thank all of our faculty and staff members who give countless hours of their time to make sure that our students are able to succeed academically. These achievements were certainly a group effort from everyone on our campus and I commend everyone who had a part in making it happen."
